Automatic balancing machines for flanges, the unbalance measurement and correction are performed in one plane. The unbalance correction depends on the component geometry and the customer requirement and may be carried out by circular milling on the front side of the flange arms or also by radial or axial drilling into the flange arms.

Depending on the specified cycle time, these machines may be designed as single-station, two-station or four-station machines. In the single-station machine, loading is either manual by the operator or by a robot system. In the multi-station machines, loading is by an interlinking system and integrated round transfer on the machine side.
